Many people greeted former President Mahinda Rajapaksa with tears when
he returned to this hometown in Medamulana.
While speaking among the people he thanked the Hambantota district
people for voting in support of him. Other than in the North, East,
Upcountry and in Colombo in other many places I have won many votes. So I
would not consider it as a failure, he said.Further Speaking he said
that he has no intention to leave politics.
